The fourth or heart chakra is the seat of love and relationship in our lives. It serves both physical and spiritual functions as the crossroad of human experience; being a spiritual being in a physical body. Both realities are essential and inescapable and operate on love. 

In this weekend class we will work with how the essential nature of love is cultivated and sustained. Developmentally this stage engages cooperation, social and self-acceptance, social identity, gender roles and formation of peer relationships.  We will explore how these needs develop into satisfying intimacy or co-dependence and break many patterns of relationship down to see their source in our experiences. Physically the fourth chakra nourishes the heart, circulation and lungs. Our healing work will focus there and on the energetic chords that express our relationships with others.

From this foundation in the elements of loving relationship, we'll look at the soul values that circumscribe the interconnecting web of Celtic cultural relationships. The Celtic scholar Tom Cowan, offers that, “Everything has a spirit, soul, personality, and can communicate.  Each culture has its own way of explaining these mysteries, what they signify and what their ramifications are for human beings.”   Reclaiming that way of being, we'll translate our skills of relationship to Nature.
